gIrlS jUst wAnnA haVe fUn

We had Arabella's birthday party on Friday. She decided to have a slumber party this year with 10 little girls. Yes, I've entered the crazy zone. They had so much fun. It was so girly and giggly. We started out painting picture frames and later decorating them with sequence, jewels, and glitter glue. She decided the menu would be chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and fruit salad. What else would any 6 year old want? We had birthday cake with ice cream, opened presents and then the dress up began. There were 2 rubbermaids of dress up clothes followed by LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of makeup. I've never seen so much makeup everywhere. They all looked beautiful though. They fixed their hair, did their nails, their makeup and dressed up. We finally got them to wind down, put on pajamas, watch Tinkerbell and have some popcorn. This managed to settle most of them down. I put all of them in the empty dining room with their sleeping bags. Most fell asleep before midnight. There were a few who were still up around 2 am when I came down the stairs to put them back to bed. It was so much fun. I may have to rethink this as the next birthdays come. It reminds me of all of the nights staying up with my friends and talking till the wee hours of the morning. Those are the times we'll always remember. Happy Birthday baby girl!!!

Yesterday was the Thanksgiving Feast at Hayden's preschool. We got to sit at the table with our wonderful friends The Bakers. Here's Hayden and his best friend Cannon and a few other pics from the dinner.

Okay, so what is it with kids and their momma's bras. All of my kids have loved playing with those silly things. Not to mention how boys are with their momma's boobies. It must be the natural attraction that men have with them. Mine are well on their way. Sorry, I had to post it. It was just too funny. The best toy ever. So a couple of Fridays ago Arabella was out of school and Hayden had chicken pox and didn't go to school either. Of course on a day with all the kids at home it poured rain ALL day long. So to keep them out of trouble and give them something fun to do I set our camping tent up in the dining room. We haven't bought furniture for that room yet so it's just a big empty room. It was screaming for that tent. They dragged their sleeping bags and pillows in there and I set up the portable DVD player for a movie. We ended up leaving the tent up for a week. They and all of the neighbor kids had so much fun playing in it. Here's a few pictures from our tent adventure.
